Instrument Service

Let's face it. Sometimes even the best products need service. So, if that's ever true of your GOW-MAC instrument, there is a way to get action fast. Just call us. We have people trained to make whatever’s wrong right.

At GOW-MAC, we know that in order to provide our customers with the highest level of customer satisfaction, we need service technicians who are committed to providing the skills necessary to keep you analyzing with confidence, for the life of your instrument.

Our highly qualified service engineers provide the utmost assistance on our products.  In many instances, troubles can quickly and effectively be resolved with a phone call. Basic questions can be answered or support given on how to resolve an issue. If it is judged that the instrument should be sent into us for repair or that on-site service is necessary, the service engineer will issue instructions for either returning the instrument to us or make arrangements with you to visit your facility.

Services
On-site -- It may be necessary for our service engineer(s) to come to your site to correct an issue with your instrument.  If this is the case, contact our repair department for setting up arrangements.

In-house Repair Service* -- Our in-house  repair service saves travel time and expenses whenever it is possible to take equipment out of service and send to us. After assessing the instrument’s trouble(s), we will work up an estimate with our recommend corrective solutions. Upon your approval and authorization, repairs will be completed using true GOW-MAC parts, the instrument run through our quality control department to make sure it meets our “like new” specifications, and sent back to you in the quickest time possible.

Installation & Training --  Our instruments are relatively straight-forward to install and operate. However, on that special occasion when a little more assistance is necessary, arrangements can be made to send a service engineer to your facility to train you in the installation, operation, and maintenance of your new instrument(s).

*For all GOW-MAC instruments, our In-house Repair Service is handled only at our Bethlehem, PA U.S.A. facility. Instruments should be returned to us in their original packaging or similar, sturdy container and insured against damages. Package the product appropriately to prevent any physical damage during shipping. GOW-MAC is not responsible for product that has been physically damaged during shipment.

In order to protect our employees from exposure to various hazards, a fully completed Health and Safety Declaration Form IS REQUIRED to be returned to us for each item being sent in for repair. A form is placed into every instrument's operating manual but if yours is missing click here to download a PDF version.

Complete the document in its entirety, sign it, and either fax [(610) 954-0599] or e-mail [repairs@gow-mac.com] it to GOW-MAC Instrument Co., Repair Dept. The instrument/device/part being returned WILL NOT be accepted into GOW-MAC’s facility until we receive this completed document. Once the product has been approved for return by our Chemical Safety Officer, an acknowledgement will be promptly issued to you with notification of your Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number and the procedure to follow for returning the product. A Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number is necessary to return an item for repair.

Products returned without a completed Health and Safety Declaration Form and/or RMA will be refused and returned at the owner's expense.
